With the release of Fruit Ninja v2, blades and dojos were given special powers when equipped. Many powers offer a visual effect so you know when you’re getting the benefit of it. If a blade or dojo was not given an ability, its description will state "Sensei is researching this power”.
As of the 10th-anniversary update, all blades and dojos are set to have their abilities re-worked.
